eeeeep! i love the shirt for your boyfriend. my boy is also a kurt fan, and i was wondering if you could post/message me the instructions on how you went about making that shirt,  and where you got the stencil from. i would love love love that.... thank you Smiley

i made the stencil from a picture of Kurt i found on line. i then changed it to a black and white photo in photo shop, and then made it absolute so that it was just black and white. i then cute out all the white parts with a exacto knife.
WOw, I love the bleached shirt! What did you use? Javel?
as for the bleach i used a bleach pen by clorox... i got it at walmart and it didn't cost a whole lot... i made three shirts with it. the bleach its self from the pen was relatively thick and stayed in one place, so not a whole lot of bleeding occurred.
WHat sort of place matts were they? (the ones where I come from are made of corkboard - or am i just being dim?)

they were fabric place Matt's. i would try looking for thouse, they are normally decorated with embroidery and such witch is why i picked to use them.

i hope that helps every one

I love all of your stuff, but especially the Cobain shirt.  I've been tempted to try the stencilling with bleach pen bit for a while now, but I've really been too intimidated.  Yours looks amazing!!  How long did you let it set?  Did you just rinse it in cold water or did you put it through the wash?  What did you make the stencil out of? Did you use any kind of adhesive to make it stick to the shirt?  I'm sorry I'm asking so many questions, but I really, really like this and want to try it.

OK to make the stencil i just used regular printer paper, i think you could possibly use it twice but it got a little torn up from the first use, oh well. Next i taped it on the shirt where i wanted it. then i drew in the blank areas with the bleach pen. i let it set for maybe 15 30 mints. i just kinda waited for the pen "ink" or bleach to dry. then i just washed it in cold water, i let it dry and it was done. it is yet to have any holes in it * i made it in February* so i think this all works.

A bleach pen!  I've wanted to try doing something with mine other than stain removal!   Grin

Actually, my husband is a huge Nirvana fan.  I may have to give this a try!
