My dog Cloe would ignore me whenever I wanted to play with her.  Lo and behold, as soon as I laid down material to measure for a quilt she suddenly had to lay in the middle of it. And being a border collie she took up most of the fabric. She really was my favorite pet though Smiley

A ex-friend of mine once asked me to knit her a shrug from pretty brown yarn( because she didnt know how to knit), so I did and it took me forever and I wrapped it cute and gave it to her. The next time I saw her she had ripped it apart and crocheted herself a poncho... grr. ex friend.

My cats (one pictured) ignore me 90 percent of the tiime but then when I am trying to knit, crochet, craft or snuggle with my husband They both are beasts of annoyance.

Its like it is thier job to steal crafting implements, stick paws into bowls of beads then shake them really hard or run off with my wooden crochet or knitting needles in their mouths.

What a bunch of attention stealers!

I wanted some wool yarn but could not aford any new so I'd baught a wool sweater for 50 cents and spent all evening taking it apart for the yarn. . .next morning I find that the dog pulled it off the counter and had the balls of yarn shreaded all over the loving room  Roll Eyes

The dogs ignore my crafting, the cats will sometimes attack the yarn as it goes by (they lay on my feet if I'm lounging on the couch) but my KIDS....If you want to craft, do NOT breed!

My daughter in the past week has :broken my sewing machine, lost crochet hooks, frogged part of a blanket, tore apart my cutting wheel (the blade and a washer still AWOL), and lost the nut to tighten my embroidery hoop.

I've found all my hooks (one was missing for 3 months) and gotten back to where I was on the blanket. I found most of my rotary cutter parts. I'm going to bug my father-in-law for a nut to fix my hoop. My machine is just going to sit awhile, though Sad I don't really have time to sew with the 7 month old, but darnit, I had finally gotten the hubby to watch him while I took some time to experiment with embroidery on a my machine (a very basic singer. I wanted to try to do something a bit nicer than simple straight and zigzags).

Oh, and she lost my 2 capri sun wallets I was making (one was hers, since she bugged me until I made one for her).

My cat likes knitting - he likes to help me by holding the yarn for me.  Unfortunately he also likes eating anything living.  His favourite food is freshly caught pigeons or crows, but he also cleared a neighours pond, and ate all nine fish.  Any ideas to calm him down??  He also like climbing into my beading cupboard and falling asleep, then getting stuck becuase the door closes on him.

Our hamsters keep eating the wallpaper under a wardrobe where they like to hide, but they also seem to have a fancy for peeing on any fabric laying around and taking small pieces of fabric with them to nest with.
A friends hamster actually demolished a whole mattress, and the sofa standing in front of the mattress digging tunnels in it. Free roaming hamsters aren't all that economic.

My cats like to lie down on whatever it is I am working on at the time, but my poor husband's model kit base got half eaten by pur african grey parrot while he was napping one day.
