yesterday was HORRIBLE, and when i came home i needed some serious sewing therapy.  suffice it to say that the outfit you're about to see is to be worn to a funeral.  this is a color i NEVER wear but i was asked to wear something that is not depressing, and for some reason this fabric was calling me.  the skirt is just a circle skirt, side zip, bias waistband and hem.  it is vintage 70's fabric that was donated to the costume shop last fall.  the wrap top was a man's t-shirt that i cut up (i can't remember what show we bought it for--but the tag was still on it, so we didn't even use it).  the undershirt is a camisole that i cut the armholes deeper so i can nurse.

funny thing is that i feel pretty in this.  and my little girl loves the color brown right now (she thinks brown things are chocolate flavored) so this outfit still makes me smile.

happy comments are esp. welcome today.  Smiley

I love the outfit!  It is so very pretty.

AMAZINGLY BEAUTIFUL!! I don't even know what I love more. It's all perfect. Looks like something RTW from the mall. I'd totally buy it. I'm sorry you have to wear it to such a sad event.

Lovely design and fabric choice. It makes me think of chocolate and strawberries. And the camisole is a little dollop of whipped cream. Not cool whip. Real whipped cream. Mmm. It's kind of a comfort food outfit. Great job with it.
