My latest painting!  This is probably totally sacrilegious, but I have patron saints on the brain lately.   I would like opinions please!  You can be critical too, I don't mind.

a close up without flash

And how can I take good pictures of paintings?  I find taking a photo of art work is hard, because I lose a lot of detail.  And what kind of art would you categorize this in? ( Please don't say bad or tacky, even though I said be critical, I am still a wee bit sensitive)

The only thing I would say is the hands look quite stiff, perhaps they need to look more relaxed across her chest. Wink

I really like this.  Gotta love parodies of religious icons! My only comment though is... well, if it's a chick in the painting... shouldn't it be matron saint? Perhaps not.  Not a big deal, matron just sounds like it would be more correct.
But I do absolutely love it.

I am just a worthless liar. I am just an imbecile. I will only complicate you. Trust in me and fall as well. I will find a center in you. I will chew it up and leave. I will work work to elevate you, just enough to bring you down.

Really?  Matron?   Oops, is there a difference for female saints?  I  found a book in the library on Catholic religious icons, and then I started to look for the saints that represented things that I liked.  It is kind of fascinating if you are bored.  (there wasn't a saint for shiny things, so I decided to make one up.)  The hands are crossed like that on the chest because it looked like some of the other religious icons I have seen.  I see what you mean though, Berry Apple, that they look rather stiff.  I had originally meant for her to be holding something to her chest.  I still might put something there, but the only thing I can think of is maybe a flashlight?  Is that too weird?  It is a shiny thing.  Anyways, thank you very much for your comments!
