i really need to check out ruby dogs.... i've been avoiding main street when supply shopping, because i always go overboard at urban source!

Then it sounds like you'd go overboard at Ruby Dogs, too  Wink The last time I was there they had loteria cards, but I couldn't justify them because I didn't have a project in mind.

I always buy so much random stuff at Urban Source, that I have no idea what to do with. Then one day I start a project and that random thing is the exact thing I need.

my problem is usually that i can no longer find the random thing by the time i get inspired to use it.

or, i get so inspired, i need more, and then they don't have them anymore, so now i have to buy tons of everything i like, which leads to banning myself again!

I just moved to Vancouver and I'm right on Main. I'm going to have to find this RubyDogs it sounds like I might spend a lot. Also I heart Urban Source. For cheap yarn you can't do any better than Dressew I think it's selling for $1.50 right now, they're also good for bits and pieces, you never know what weird stuff you'll find there.

If you love Urban Source, you'll probably love Ruby Dogs. Their bulk section isn't as big, but they make up for it by having so much more lovely paper and ephemera than Urban Source.

I'm the biggest fan of Dressew. The last time I was there I walked out with a tote bag full of fabric, yarn, buttons, and beads for $20.

I can't believe no one's mentioned Douglas Trading Post at 991 Granville St.
Findings? There's very little they don't have. There's even hard to find ring bases.

Everything that I can't find at Dressew or Michael's, Douglas has. Cheap, too!
