I made this Hat today using my new knitting loom. It's like a big knitting nancy. It was so fast to do!

I've never made a hat before so please be nice! Smiley

I have always wondered if the knitting looms are faster than using needles... hmmm... maybe I will try them one day. Smiley

Nice hat!
I have always wondered if the knitting looms are faster than using needles... hmmm... maybe I will try them one day. Smiley

For me, the looms seem A LOT quicker and easier on the hands/wrists (evil carpal tunnel).  Basically, I can get a hat and pair of wrist warmers finished in a day, and a larger project (like a shawl or shrug) finished in 1- 1 1/2 weeks.  The tricky part is placing the yarn on the loom to begin with (esp. the rectangle loom), but after that it's decent.  =)

The best place to get the loom set is Walmart.  They carry it in like 4 looms (plus crochet hook, knitting tool and needle) for like $11.  The rectangle loom is around $8 (but then again I dun think one would actually need a rectangle loom.  The circular looms are kinda like circular knitting needles.  They can be used for making tubes/circular projects or used for making flat pannels).

Btw, pretty hat!!!  Love how it turned out!!
