batgirl, your shrine is lovely! I would tear up if one of my girls made something like that for me. You have a lucky mom.  Smiley

THANKS!!!!
I have some of those candles! I got them at a "Museum Company" store when it was going out of business here several years ago.

Oh crap! It was PretendPeterPan!!! I'm sorry! I had the tree swap with you at the EXACT same time and the whole time I was afraid I'd mix up your user names and send the wrong packages! LOL, at least this was misplaced credit and not misplaced packages!  Embarrassed

I bought the little flowers in our campus bookstore of all places, and cut them to fit. They aren't like normal fake flowers but I have no idea what they are made from!

so beautiful and creative and thoughtful.  I have resisted the shrine term, for some reason, but I tend to think of a shrine as a spiritual idol.  Your shrine, though, has given me a different direction/interpretation of the term.

A few years ago, I made theme wreaths, with an idea similar to your shrine.  I made one for my mother, MIL and my aunts using items related to their interests.

Thanks.  catdaddy
