Dear Artist/Crafter,

This years Southern Girls Convention will be held in Houston, Texas,
June 23-25, 2006. This will be the 8th annual convention, and since we are from Texas, we are aiming to make this the biggest one yet. And how will we do that? Well, one way we are hoping to make this the best possible event is to hold a Southern Girls Arts and Crafts Fair and give new meaning to the term country craft. That is why we are asking you to pack up your wares and find your way down to Houston!

Date and Time: The arts and crafts fair will happen the afternoon of
Sunday, June 25, 2006.

Participation Requirements: Sorry, but we are asking that all sellers
identify as either female, trans, genderqueer, or the like. We want to
showcase the talents of Southern girls (and womyn), but are not
requiring you be from or live in the South. But please remember that the Southern
Girls Convention is open to anyone, regardless of gender, age, location,

Costs and Registration: We arent looking to make money off of you,
which is why we arent asking for commission or entry fees. To keep our costs
down, we ask that you either bring your own table or blanket to set up
your spread or risk having to pay a small fee (the amount we pay) to
rent a table. Hopefully we will be able to have enough tables for everyone,
but we just want you to know to be prepared to spare a few bucks if need
be. The fair will be held indoors so there is no need to worry about having
any sort of covering. We invite you to attend the rest of the
conference, and if so to please register online at
http://southerngirlsconvention.org/2005/register to help us know who to
expect. There is also a registration form we are requesting you fill
out if you want to participate in the arts and craft fair that you can find online at http://southerngirlsconvention.org/2006/crafts-fair as well. Of course, if you dont register for either you
are still invited to come regardless.

Miscellaneous: Feel free to tell other people about the arts and craft
fair and convention. It is impossible for us to contact all the amazing
Southern artists and crafters out there so be sure to tell all of your
