I read about this idea in "Romancing the Ordinary" by Sarah Ban Breathnach.

Basically take a blank notebook and put in it seasonal stuff like recipes you used and liked that year, greeting card list, photos, snippets of cards, tags or ribbons that you like, the card you sent out, what gifts you gave others, memorable holiday outings, gifts you received etc etc.

This can be a nice jog for the memory next year in both a practical and a sentimental way.

I started mine this year and put a label and some stickers on a dollar store notebook. I made a pocket on the inside front cover to hold the Xmas card that I sent out.   I have my greeting card list taped in there, along with my gift list and what I put in each package along with neat ideas that I've seen to use for next year so that I won't forget.

cheers,

Anu
