Those remind me of Vans... not my style, but still nice. The colours scream "modest mouse" to me... that part I like.

modest mouse are waaay cool. as are the trainers, i just wish we had a walmart in the uk!

i was in boscoves tonight and they had them for $3 (on sale normally $6)
some were this style and some were clogs

the ones at kmart that i've seen are like scruntched at the top, my grandmom had a new pair around and she let me practice on them...the scruntchyness messed it up

when i was recently at walmart they only had canvas sneakers...and i looked in the mens too

Thats awesome...i like my lime green and blue vans that i have tho lol cause I actually paid for them myself( a big accomplishment)...this gives me a really good idea of what to do for my sister cause she wants me to get her a pair of hot pink and black ones so she cn have vans to match her pink and black chucks...I have no money so I think I'll make her some for her b-day which is coming up really soon YAY!!!

yea, so guess what i can't find!! i checked 3 walmarts, target and a kmart. also payless.  I need to buy these shoes! i checked ebay, and i even googled it and most of what i came up with either had shoe laces which i dont want or were like $40, in which I'd just buy the vans.  Help me please!!

ahhh i agree! helppp

I found these old lady shoes at Walmart. They originally had the big elastic piece across the bridge of my foot! So I busted out a seam ripper and the old lady elastic part is gone!

Here is a crappy pic of them!

They would be fun to paint.

I bought some of the Vans wanna bes at Walmart, that I am going to paint so I will post pics soon!
I also bought Textile medium so the paint holds up better!

Were they argyle and cost like 9 bucks?  If so, I bought those exact same pair.  I would have bought me a white pair, but sadly there were none in my size.

I am the store manager at a shoe store (Journey's Shoes) and we sell six or seven different styles of Vans slip-ons. YOUR shoes are freaking sweet. Awesome job. Terrific checkerboard.
