Your Amazing thanks for this, I was thinking of making a small one for my bedroom!
I tried to figure out how you made it by looking at the pictures and thought that you had bent them in half (so that they sit pointing up like a 'U' Then weaved around it, but you way sounds less trickier haha... Did you weave the fairy lights into it as you went along?

No the lights are just dangling inside on a bent coat hanger or piece of wire.

I have been making these lights so long I could make one in my sleep. This is the first time in ages I'ver spoken about them..........the original post is from 2006.......times flies when you're weaving lights! Grin

Don't expect a perfect finish cos it aint gonna happen, believe me i've tried!

Silly question really but I started to make one and forgot totally how to weave! do you have to make a frame first then start weaving it together so it all stays in place? Haha
