Hi! I got this picture at the Goodwill for $.99....word! I didn't have a clue what I was going to do with her at first, but it turned out pretty good. Even the boyfriend thought so.

I'm not sure who the artist is (last name NAGEL...?) but I've seen these posters before.

My revamp consisted of glitter. LOTS of glitter. She is completely covered with glitter. Right down to the gray shading and black outline. I changed her eye color to blue and the color of her bracelet to purple, gave her some fingernails and voila! It was incredibly precise, not to mention painstaking. But I love the end result. The disco ball is totally staying hung above this picture.

I was going to give her wings made of feathers, but realized that would have taken way too long, so there's feathers on the left side and I stuck a feather in her fingers to kinda balance it out.

Sorry about all the pictures, I was just trying to capture all the glittery-ness. The photo's just don't this picture justice.

Thank you for looking at my first creation for Craftster!!!

Beautiful!!!  I want to see it in real life because I so believe the pics don't do it justice.  I can just imagine it glittering in all it's glory under the disco ball.  Also, I totally notice the meticulous detailing- I can see what looks like glitter shading on the bracelet, and it's fabulous.

Now THAT totally captures 80s excess!

Suddenly, I feel under dressed without shoulder pads!

Great job!

excellent! love the glitter
My sister would kill you for messing with a Nagel though (ha ha)
He actually did a cover for the Duran Duran album "Rio" and his work was pretty popular in the 70's and 80's. He actually died in '84 though so I guess he kind of set the trend.
