I have not posted a completed project in a while so since i recently finished bag i designed for my cousins birthday i figure i should post it.

well for my little cousins (whose name is Sami hence the name of the bags) Birthday my mom is making here the knot ugly shrug from happy hooker. since she had a ton of yarn left over i offered to make her a bag since she liked the one i made her for Christmas so much. it is a cute little drawstrip pouch.

here it is flat on the table with out the strings pulled

with the strings pulled closed

me modeling the bag

and a close up of the flower is the tea rose from Nicky Epstein's knitted Flowers.
This Bag was made with Bernat Baby Coordinates Yarn and the rose was made with Filati Cervinia Amalfi

here are some pictures of the bag i made my cousin for Christmas since i haven't posted the pictures before.

my sis modeling the bag for my photo class
and another.
This bag was made with a combination of 3 worsted acrylics.

If anyone is intrested i could post patterns for both bags

{edited to add}
okay here are the patterns
Both of these patterns are relatively simple and easy to modify for diffrent weight yarn. The bags i made do noe have lining but you could easily add it.
The Sami Drawstring Bag (first bag in picks)

Finished measurements
Bag Height: 7 inches
Bag Width: 9 inches
[MC] Bernat Baby Coordinates Yarn 1skien
[CC] Caron Simply Soft; 1  skein
1 16-inch US #10/6mm circular needle
Yarn Needle
1 Spool Knitter (French knitter)
1 knitted flower if desired

Gauge (not critical)
16 sts/24 rows = 4" in stockinette stitch
Pattern Note
This whole pattern is worked double stranded but a single strand can be used if it knits up at a close gauge.

Co 70sts join round
Knit 6.5 inches
Eyelet round: *k2tog, yo,k1* rep from* to* until 4 stitches remain knit those regularly
Knit aprox. more or how ever much desired for the rolled edge

Using the spool knitter make a 1 yard length OR make a four stitch I cord the same length

Here are some links on how to use a spool knitter
http://www.knitting-and.com/knitting/tips/spool-knit.htm  (this one has more pegs than mine did)
http://www.sweaterscapes.com/spool.htm   (which has the same amount of pegs as mine)

Sew bottom of bag together with mattress stitch while leaving the 4 stitch solid spot on the eyelet round in the center of the front (where the bow will be tied)
Then string the cord through starting at the opening and ending there. Tie a bow or pull the string to close it. If desired attach a flower to it and you are done

Your bags are so cute.

I like how you patched the different patterns together to make the items more unique.  I never thought of that!

Lead us not into temptation, for we can find it ourselves.
