So I finally found The One Pair Of Skinny Jeans That Make Me Look Sexy - but I can't just wear them like that, I'm a crafter!  My plan is to sew flat felt flowers in rainbow colours down the legs to confuse people when they try to work out whether I'm hippy or emo...

I'm hand-sewing this as I'm not that confident with my sewing machine!  (I'd use fusible webbing but the only stuff we have in my house is about 20 years old and really doesn't work any more, and I have no money to buy more)

My question is:  What stitch should I use to sew the felt flower-shapes to the (stretch) denim?  What looks pretty?

What stitches do you find pretty?  You can find many here http://inaminuteago.com/stitchindex.html#contents

Also keep in mind do you want the stitces to contrast (color wise) with the flowers or not?

Wow, what a great link!  I didn't realise buttonhole stitch could be done in the middle of the fabric.  I think I'll use that for my flowers, I've always liked it.  I'm not sure about the thread, I was thinking of doing it in complimentary colours, like yellow thread with the purple flowers, but I haven't decided.  Thank you for the linkage!
