I have always, always wanted to do this. Perhaps now is the time!

And, for those of you who haven't heard this...

Go halfway down the page. On the right hand side, there's a column called 'MP3 Player and Downloads'. First track on the list. Click 'download'. I promise, you won't be disappointed.

Man... I gotta see that SNL bit. Someone find it online and post a link!

I think I gotta start doing this with all my little leftover yarn. Podunk Kansas won't know what hit it.

I live in Houston (where most of their stuff is-"Montrose" is just a trendy neighborhood in Hou) and I'm surprised I haven't seen any of their stuff around yet!
At the bar Poison Girl, on Westheimer, there's one of their knitted tags on one of the draft things behind the bar.  There are some I've seen on door handles and what not.  There used to be a big one wrapped around a large glass vase as Brasil.  Also, I think their scarves are still on the Art Guy's statue guys at the Art League of Houston place.

I've knitted several tags and was going to put them on trees at my campus (u. of st thomas) in April, but I just didn't finish enough on time.  I really want to tag stuff, but since I live in Htown myself, I need to come up with my own name and I can't think of anything.   Embarrassed
I might knit some more and tag stuff around campus the night before the first day of the fall semester.  This is an excuse to teach the bf how to knit... you know, assembly line knitting.

After reading all of this and hearing about the Bumbershoot Festival- I am in! This is the perfect excuse to go the store and big bigger needles ( I don't own size 19!).

I've love to be part of chapter here, but if that isn't happening, I'm in for helping them on their project.

Whee! Instalation knitting!

I was looking in Knit.1 the other day and they have an article about Knitta Please.  It bothers me a tad that it says that they (knitta please people) are "lurking in the shadows on the mean streets of Montrose, Texas."  First, Montrose is not a city.  It is an artsy area of Houston just west of downtown.  The article also said that they're suburban.   hm, I guess that's just the most urban suburban area I've ever seen...
Ha, I really want to write to Knit.1 to tell them to get their unimportant facts straight.

This is hysterical! Although I think it's too bad they aren't interested in going national. This could be huge!  Cheesy

I did this to a lamppost in a Mr. Gatti's parking lot and another on a pole in a park downtown, but I didn't use tags.  Should I start putting tags on them or does it not really matter?  (And I'll take pictures next time!)

I read about them a while ago, and I am so happy other crews have started!  Now I can join in on the taggin'!  L.A., look out for "Tejedora Feroz!" tee-hee.

Is anyone else interested in starting a crew in L.A.?  Or SoCal for that matter.

Look!  I'm on the internets!:
