I've made a few hippie style skirts so I thought it was time to try my hand at a dress.  I'm pretty happy with it and can't wait to wear it after I have my baby in the next few weeks.  I also can't wait till the Hippy Dress Swap starts so I can try my hand at another one.

I would love to post a tut but I think it would turn out being like 10 pages long.  I've never done a tut and I think it would be really hard cause I put a lot of steps into this dress.  I would be happy to answer any specific questions you had about making the dress however.  You can pm me or just post them here.

I seriously love this.  It's so pretty! And.. and.. grooovy, man.  I'm such a dork.  I've always wanted one, but alas.. no sizes and they're so terribly expensive and .. *rambles on* yours is wayyy prettier than just about 99% of the ones I've seen. looo-ve the colors and fabric .. and.. ok, so I love the whole thing, got it? Good! Great job!

hey weeza,

i totally dig your dress - it came out great!  i love that you used different colors & patterns but they harmonize in such a way that the whole dress isn't too "busy".  i also love the structure of it...the vertical stripes of different patterns and then the double ruffle at the bottom.  it looks way long, are you really tall?  (at 5'3", pretty much everyone's lookin "really tall" from here, heh)

anyway, very exciting about the baby...hope you're feeling great and good luck with all that!  maybe you can post a pic of you holding the baby while wearing the dress, a coupla weeks from now : )  i would love to see it!

love from brooklyn,

Thanks so much for your comments everyone:)

Rumble_pie, I'm 5'9" so you could say I'm pretty tall.  The dress goes down to my ankles.
