*Represent your City Swap* Signups (4.9.06 - 4.21.06) Send by 5.5.06

This is a swap that is dedicated to showing off the city where you live & love. You should swap 1 large CRAFTED item, along with a several smaller items(dont have to be crafted). Since you are crafting your own city you could techincally begin crafting when you sign up if you know its going to take more then 2 weeks to do your projects.

If you want to participate, information to send to organizer:

Name of swap: Represent your city
Craftster username:
Email address:
Your real name:
Mailing address:
Would you be willing to ship to an address outside of the US?:
What city do you live in?
What kind of crafts do you do?
What kinf of crafts would you like to recieve?
Do you have a digital camera to take a picture when you receive?

Also remember to read the Swap Info Guide to find out how to ship your item and other details about participating in a swap

I'm going to state a number of rules here. I'm not mean or strict, but I want to make sure I state my expectations up front.

YOU MUST PM me & your partner when you send. YOU MUST get a DC# unless you are shipping internationally- no exceptions. And YOU MUST PM me & your partner when you receive. Also you should post a picture in the gallery(if you are unable to take a picture please make your partner aware so they can post a picture for you(its no fun to swap and not SHARE with everyone)). You Should also thank your partner publicly (its only poilite)

If you don't think you can take the time to communicate with PM's with me and your partner and afford the extra 55cents for a DC#- then in my opinion you won't be able to commit to the requirements of this swap, please don't join.

I expect people to send on time. If you are over a week late past the deadline and have NOT communicated well you will have late in your feedback. Its not fun to be waiting for your package, please send on time, on time, on time!!! lol Shocked)

Sorry for so many rules, but this is my first swap organizing. if you have any questions please feel free to message me!

What do you consider a large craft item?
« Reply #2 on: April 09, 2006 08:28:41 PM »

not necessarily a "large" craft, but something that you put more time and work into.

what kind of things would you craft for this..?? do you send out "touristy" stuff along with the ""generic"" (meaning non city related) crafted item..?? or is your crafted item city based too..??

Geez I sound daft Tongue

I left it wide open in the description because i dont know what your city has!!!! if your lil town is frenchfry capital of the world then do something related to that... if you live in ny, ny and hate the statue of liberty rebel and make something that YOU find that YOU love the most about where u live. If you want your project to be tourist-like then go for it... we are all quite creative people to be on this board- im not holding your creative mojo down by some silly rules- as long as its in the general field.. of representing your city... get the point? lol

A DC Number is a service provided by the Post office. For 55 cents or so they slap a tracking number and a barcode on your package. It's mostly to prevent a post saying "OMG, I totally sent it, but it must have gotten lost in the mail!" With the tracking number you can pinpoint which post office you package is currently in, since they scan the barcode at each stop. Pretty cool for less than a candy bar.
