Whew! Again I pushed the deadline to the breaking point! At least I finished...LOL! Anyhoo, here are my Kool-Aid dyed mules, with beading & vintage rhinestones!

Here's how they started - White dyables (there's a smudge on one of the heels, I got them for 9$!)

And here's the finished product! I'm so proud, I think they came out great for my first Kool-Aid dyeing experiment!

I used 123 aqua rhinestones on the sides of the heels, and I sewed them all on by hand! I hope you guys like 'em! I am so proud of myself, I can't wait to wear them! More details in my blog if you're interested!

They look 1000000 no, infinity times better than before! I can't believe you did that, wonderful job!!! I have to say...I am SUPER proud of you too.. and I don't even know you! lol
No I just can't get over it.. I mean I know they are supposed to be dyed, but you did that beautiful color in koolaid...I am just like flabberghasted...something like that. I never knew shoes could look so good, and that's not even my style. I would wear those EVERYWHERE. And if someone got sick of it, I would kick them with that pointy toe. Hard. I love them. (I think this is my last edit, seriously I am using all my willpower)

Wow guys, thanks! I must confess I am a bit obssessed with this color... it's my craft room walls, the shirt I'm wearing right now, my kitchen curtain & roman shade AND my dishes! LOL!!!

After I saw the article on Knitty about Kool-Aid dyeing I knew I wanted to try this color, I used Ice Blue Raspberry Lemonade (in my blog I have a mid-progress shot showing the kool aid color - here's a link! http://craftyginger.blogspot.com/). It seemed so blue, just the powder & water, but the yarn in the article looked right to me, so I just kept painting layers of dye on until I ended up with this shade.

Thanks for all of your wonderful comments!  Grin

Wow those are so beautiful. The color and the rhinestones. Grand job.
