So, I was watching My Parents are Aliens yesterday...

So, I was watching some perfectly reputable grown-up program yesterday, and somebody on it had quite a cool thing where she had one seed-bead strung onto an eyelash, about five times around each lid.  Has anyone ever tried it? It looks awesome.  Could you do this just with mascara on, or would you need fakes and lots and lots of glue?

Ok, so i had to try this. I just put some mascara on and then slippedseed beads on with a tweezer. I also found these fake beaded eyelashes on ebay. http://cgi.ebay.com/New-Beaded-False-Eyelashes-with-Glue-Blue_W0QQitemZ5617456595QQcategoryZ11862QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem

In my clubbier days I had these strips with rhinestones (and no lashes). They were on a clear strip and applied just like fake eyelashes, they were self stick at first but eventually I used glue. I'm not sure how you'd make them, but they were really cool. More like beaded eyeliner than lashes. Just be careful with tweezers and beads around your eyes! (OK, I'm officially old...I just basically said "don't put your eye out" LOL! Sorry! I'm sure that was obvious!)

So how well did they stay on when you tried it yourself?

They annoyed me so I took them off pretty fast, but they seemed fairly secure.
