Oh, it's just kittens.

I want to leave this world the way I came into it:  naked, screaming, and covered in someone else's blood.

I have no idea why I can't seem to finish these projects; they are wallowing on my list!  Maybe if I list them here, they will get done!!!

---summer robe
---tote bag for a friend who needs it desperately for her crochet projects
---apron for a friend who keeps cooking up wonderful goodies for me!
---kitty tote for my sister (three years in a row she keeps asking me about it!) Cheesy
---recover my sewing machine chair! (I am always sitting on it, so I know why I am procrastinating on this one!)

Everyone, please post pics to keep this craftalong alive!!

Ok. I am procrastinator to the stars, so this thread is for me. I was just telling my SO I need to make a list so I will get things done. So I will make a list here for all to see!

-A diaper holder bag thingy
-Crib rail bumpers so my child doesn't chew up her crib
-A tv cover for our 47" flatscreen
-A cover for my 20" flatscreen monitor(can be practice for above).
-I also need to cover a chair. My desk chair is a mess. My daughter keeps pulling the pleather looking stuff off of it.

Hopefully this will get me motivated! Good luck everyone.

1. Make "Pirate" purse
2. Buy&paint frame for Danny
3. Make Mr.&Mrs. Pacman bracelets
4. Figure out how to sew Spiderman boxers for Danny xD

I actually got something done! I now need to fix the frame so it's usable however, but it still counts. I doubt the bracelets will get done before his birthday on the 7th because I can't find the darn beads! Grrr.

I'm a huge procrastinator too, especially when it comes to boring or tedious tasks. I like to craft - thing is I very seldom actually FINISH things that I've started...

I do however have some 'tips' for getting things done:

1. Set aside time (daily or weekly) for getting things on your list done!
2. See if there isn't a specific craftalong for your craft - always helps when you realize you aren't working alone! It's also motivating to see other people's progress.
3. Prioritize your list - most important to least, and work on them in that order.
4. Set yourself deadlines for each item on your list.
5. Try and find a way to reward yourself for your progress.

Would you believe that I saw this Craftalong a few months ago, and didn't get around to joining it until now when someone mentioned it to me?  How's THAT for procrastinating?

My list of things to finish (or start, for that matter!) is rather huge, so I'm going to stick with a few of the higher priority things and see how well I do and worry about the rest later. ^_^

My List

Eventually Granny Square blanket (DONE! - finished July 11, 2010)
3-Way Tunisian blanket (maybe 75% done... bit it's way bigger than the EGS)
Oddly Linked Chocolate blanket (about 50% done... this is a Christmas present)
Tulip throw (maybe 25% done... I had to take a break from all those bloody ends!)
Yellow Swirl blanket (not sure how far along I am on this; also for Christmas)
Basket Weave baby blanket (50% done, no deadline, really)
Winter Set (hat, scarf, mittens) for me (haven't started. Was hoping to be done by July 24th, but that seems laughable now!)

The links above point to posts (with pictures!) I've made about those things on Craftster already.

Here are the other two blankets:

3-Way Tunisian:

And a close up of the Basket Weave blanket:

I love the basketweave...but I am going to be working on your oddly linked blanket pattern aghan--I really should finish my wips first, but I can't wait to increase my crochet skills!

It is nice to see that you have so many projects going on all at once!  It means that you will probably finish if you stick to this thread! Wink

I'm hoping this thread can help, yes!

Though, the other night, as I was trying to fall asleep, I came up with what might be a really neat idea... naturally I'm going to have to try it out soon...  Grin

Don't you wish sometimes you can turn off your creative brain? Wink

I have to stop dreaming or thinking of more things I want to do and therefore buy!  That is why I am in this craftalong and the destash and the 50 projects and the crafting all the boards!! argggggghhh
