Does anyone know how to make hemp/rope sandals? I went everywhere online and couldnt find anything about making them and they are pretty expensive, even on ebay. I would really appreciate a pattern!

try a search for waraji (Japanese rice straw sandles) they aren't *exactly* what you are looking for but instructions should be close.

I think this place http://groups.yahoo.com/group/sca-jml/ has instructions in teh files section, but you have to jion teh group to get there.  or try here http://tousando.proboards18.com/index.cgi?board=garb&action=display&thread=1136146964  I know the subject has been discussed several times...

I can't find the site, but there is a website my sister got awesome hemp shoes from. It was something like Nomads or Nomadic or something.

I just found it.
