I'm catatonic with envy!  I sure wish I knew how to crochet!

Thanks so much for the link, IamSusie, that's really helpful! I thought I'd just have to wing it and risk ending up with a mangled mess. I'll post my cat as soon as he's finished, whenever that will be. (I keep thinking I'm almost done and then realize I've forgotten about the face or the ears or something.) Thanks again!

I have lots of advice and awesome web pages marked, but I still haven't made this kitty.  I want to use pellets when I stuff him and have to remember to buy those with my coupon the next time I'm at the craft store.

What a great thread!  Even I've succumbed to the Amineko Kitty!  Here's mine.  He's not perfect of course, I really stink at stitching and such...and he's got one arm longer and one leg fatter than the other, oh and I didn't do the ears zactly like the pattern said, but my next kitty will be purrrfect!

See my blog for my current ATC's up for swap~

Hi again! Thanks to the help I got from you guys, I finished my (first) amineko man yesterday. I love him SO much - I want to just carry him around the house by his tiny little paw all day long. This is the first amigurumi I've done - I can see a little army of them in my future. Smiley

Anyway, this little man likes to read quietly on the bookshelf where he lives now. He especially likes literature from the 50s and 60s - here he is posing with some of his favorite books. He doesn't always really understand them, but he doesn't like to let on. His name is Allie, after Holden Caulfield's brother in "Catcher In The Rye". (Yes, I majored in literature at university. And I'm a dork.)

The green is pretty much accurate, but the yellow isn't that neon looking in real life. I couldn't find any plastic pellets round these parts, so I used some beads that I knew I'd never use - pony beads in his bum and seed beads (but kind of big ones, I don't know anything about bead sizes) for all of his paws.

Thanks again for the help!

I made the pinkish one first. I actually got worse at it, as you can see by the grey one.

missmelissa138-  Yours are cute though.  It looks like they've been doing lots of pilates.
