I'm cold. And my legs hurt.

Ahhhh. I feel so summery right now!
I was looking at patterns on simplicity.com and I enjoyed one for a dress... and I thought it would look nice with some fabric I've got. But its busy fabric, and I didn't have a ton. So I figured I'd just make it into a shirt. And I also wasn't about to buy the pattern, so I just stared at it for a while and winged it. Then I wanted to ruffle the fabric cuz I loves me some ruffles. So I made the bottom part gathered on the front.
Obligatory mirror shot:

Here's a closer one that actually turned out rather well.

I wanted a thinger to keep the top edge of it from popping up (whaaat?), so I dug around and found some pearly buttons from a hilarious sailor-esque dress my mom had, and just strung them together and wrapped them around the ties. I'm quite impressed with how nice it looks.
(Sorry this last one is really blurry... the batteries are dying on my camera, and I didn't want to stand around fussing with it and have the batteries die and end up with no pictures.)

Hmm. I also see from that last picture that I've got some thread to trim...
Anyhoo, thanks for lookin! Smiley
