Wow, beautiful! Of course we must ask: where'd you get the pattern?

Her dirty paws and furry coat,
She ran down the forest slope.
The forest of talking trees,
They used to sing about the birds and the bees.
The bees had declared a war,
The sky wasn't big enough for them all.

The pattern is a free one that I tweaked:

http://www.lanagrossa.com/service/mdm/08_2005/index.html

Instead of adding long ties to make it a wrap-around, I liked the way the two sides tied on their own, so it was perfect.

The pattern is completely unfollow-able as written. But once you understand what the lace is doing with its increases and decreases, you can pretty well wing it and make the basic shapes of each piece.

It took about 3 & 1/2 skeins of some College I got on clearance (I heart this yarn!)

I love it! My daughter was looking over my shoulder as I viewed it. She actually said "Oh that's pretty" before I turned to say it. So there! Two cheers for you! Great!

nice one. i really like how drapey and textural your sweater is. probably versatile enough to keep wearing once all the 80s/dancewear fashion blows over, too.

I really like it too, it looks much better that way, with the ends tied.
I'm going to put it in my knitting list Smiley

Very nice!  I love the color too.  You've given me an idea...I have just enough of Kid Seta to make this cool sweater.
