hey all, my sister has loved elmo forever and she asked me to make her a shirt with elmo on it. this is it:

it didnt turn out quite as good as i'd hoped for but oh well

OMG!!!!!!!!! I AM IN LOVE WITH ELMO!!!!!!!!!!! i have like a bagillion stuffed animals, and i just was like omg i want that!!!!!!!!!! did you stencil it than shade it w/ red ?that is a terrif idea!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Well, you say it's not as good as you hoped but I LOVE the faded/worn look of the image has an almost vintage look that'd most assuredly rock on a soft heathered shirt. So how did you get it to look like that (I'd love to try it)? And what don't you like about this shirt?

thanks all
i got the stencil from http://www.pumpkinglow.com/Patterns.htm , they're actually stencils for pumpkins but they work well for shirts.

MamaNeeley, you've given me a new perspective on the lack of colour in the stencil, it does actually look vintage,the only thing i dont like about it is how it bled, you notice it in the eyes and on his fur but i guess im the only one who notices that kinda thing

lol the funny thing is that like everybody i know wants to make their clothes vintage, but you are like "crap!this is bad!" but anyways, your sister will get compliments:P
