For anything interesting, you'll have to to into LA or Ventura, from my experience.  There's the Michaels on Lindero Canyon.  JoAnns on Moorpark.  Bead Store in the same center as JoAnns.  Yarn and assorted needlecrafts store on Thousand Oaks Blvd in the shopping center with Roxy's Deli- largely yarn, and never what I'm looking for.

There's at least one 99 cent shop on TO Blvd, where there used to be a thrift store- a lot of food, but a fair hair goodies section and some random things that are sometimes interesting.  Its a few blocks from the Civics Arts Plaza, in the direction of the veterinary clinic's direction, maybe a block further than that, on the other side of the road from it and the Civic Arts Plaza.  There's another the other direction from Civic Arts, and the same side of the road as it this time.  There's a thrift store with very limited hours (I mostly catch it closed) in the shopping center with Whole Foods (Fibber McGee's Closet?).  There's a thrift store up Skyline Drive a few blocks back from TO Blvd, something Attic, I think.  There's also one for Seniors on Hillcrest, not far from Moorpark.

There are a couple I hit from time to time in Camarillo and Simi, but I think they're all easy to phonebook.  Simi has a big somehwat Michaelsy store on Alamo around Tapo, Beverly's, that also has some fabric stuff, its another big chain, but not as big.  Does carry some different stuff.

I myself am... strange and unusual.
