Yah.  Just don't get carried away and if you run out, you can always use a different kind of yarn for some texture at the top!

I know this thread is a tad old, but it seemed like the most logical place to put my weekend creation......yes, *another* Sophie bag. Smiley I love these bags! This one is knit in a yarn I bought from ebay seller sanfelipeysantiago. I'm happy with how the colors felted, though I think I felted it a bit too much, as it's quite small.

before felting.....

and after.....

SouleMama - love that yarn, and your Sophie has the cutest shape to it.  Great job!

This is my Sophie.  It was my first non-scarf project.  All of the yarn was Cascade 220.  The bag looks cute, but I'm still having issues with it.  It ended up being too small to fit my wallet inside, and the strap is really flimsy and stretches a lot whenever I put anything inside of the purse.  Any ideas on how to correct this?  I finished this purse in October, and I still haven't lined it.

Hi, Kate

I'm de-lurking to ask you more about your probs with this purse because that was on my "to do" project list. What size did your purse turn out to be after you felted it? And is anyone else out there in forum-land having the same problems with the straps?
