i just finished my second sophie (still have to felt it) and i have a question - has anyone else had a problem with their handles winding up a little off-center?  it could be me and some mis-counting, but it seems like the handles don't match up to the sides.  i blocked the first bag but not fiercely, so usually it winds up that the handles are above the opening of the bag instead of being on the sides, which actually is cute too.  this next one i felti may just block the heck out of to get everything lined up...anyone else notice this?

my first bag I didn't really have a problem but I kinda did it by eye.   My second when i didn't use any instructions, my handles were really off center.

I love your purses. They are so cute! How long did it take you to make each one? It takes me so long!

I have about 136 yards of bulky handdyed wool, is that enough for a smaller bag?

Mine weren't off center-I used DPN's (one needle for each side)...

BUT...my handles seemed like they're rather thin where they meet the bag (I used Noro Kureyon & it took about a skein & a half)

They work up so quickly! Mine only took a day...

Great pattern!

I took longer to knit the first bag as I made some mistakes and had to find a guru to save me. The second one took about 3 days to finish (just while watching tv at night).

I'm going to start on #3 and hopefully 2 more after that! Sophie knits up so quickly that it's great for gifts.

KaJ,

Your sophie looks good! I think it'll look nice felted as well. What yarn did you use?
