I am very new to this site, came across your stars they are beautiful
they remind me of are Advent star, we are Moravians and hang  a star like this
in our homes and churches  they also have many points
Keep up the good work. Helpinghands Alberta Canada

Thanks so much for sharing Smiley

Did that new program you bought help? I love the idea of putting photographs in there - that would make the perfect present for someone!!!!!

So far I haven't made colored-pencil designs for any of the stars the program, Great Stella, helped me make. But I did do a few of just importing pretty photos, and those came out pretty. Used photos of rusted things and marble and labradorite and stuff.

Thanks for all the compliments!!!

wow oh wow! okay this is the most wonderful thing i have seen all year! i am a colouring nut (the more intricate the better) and i have a weird fascination with paper folding model things. I cant do origami to save my life but paper models...all the scoring and folding and white glue and fiddling...its so satisfying when you have it done! SuperStinger you have made my day! i also love fiddling in Photoshop so i am now imagining all kinds of crazy stars...if i actually stop drooling and dreaming long enough to make one I'll post it in here!

Yup, coloring is heaven. When I was 3 I remember begging the grownups, every day, to PLEASE let me leave the playground and come inside to color. 21 years later and *still* all I want to do is sit inside and color. Please post when you make stars! If you have coloring books with geometric patterns, maybe those could be scanned and clipped into nice triangles? This star hobby is not so cheap for me anymore as it used to be, cause now I've gone and developed this awful Prismacolor addiction. Deco Orange is a *great color* why would they discontinue it???

I keep looking at prismacolours online and wondering if i can justify them somehow. The rest of the time i use Derwents, they're really nice too.

I've been getting pencils from this ebay seller - best prices on pencils and shipping I've seen anywhere, great selection too. Carries other brands as well. http://stores.ebay.com/A-Rainbow-of-Colored-Pencils can't recommend highly enough if you're looking to buy fancy colored pencils individually.
