Ok, so it's nearly the festive gift giving time of year- I've got a boatload of handmade goodies waiting to get into the hot little hands of my friends and family.  I'm trying to think of creative packaging options- any suggestions?

I've got a great one for the "beaner" hats I made for my brother and dad (just a plain old beanie kind of hat- sort of like the hot head pattern in the Stitch N Bitch book, but not...) One is all black, one is navy- so I'm putting them in the appropriate bean cans.  (empty, and washed, of course- and ridiculously corny) So someone will get a navy hat in a Navy Bean can, and someone else will get a black hat in a Black Bean can.

I'm sending out scarves, headbands, marble accessories, and one wacky knitted purse too.   I just have to get 'em all into a good sized box and ship them away, so I can't go super heavy, but any suggestions you guys have, would be awesome!

If you can't be a good example, at least you can serve as a horrible warning.

awe, the bean cans sound wicked.

Personally if you're in the mood to peper-wrap your gifts, this year I've chosen to revisit a pre-school hit:
