HEY EVERYONE!

this is actually my first project post... i'm a lazy poster.  Tongue

anyway, this is a doll i made a couple years ago.  i am obsessed with the movie/musical  hedwig and the angry inch...
she/he is made out of a barbie... can you believe i actually had to go out and buy a barbie to make it?!  all of my childhood barbie's had been used already or i had given them haircuts long ago (and of course it's just not hedwig without the "hed wig")  i used material scraps i had around for the cape and clothes.  i was really lucky at finding the perfect red kneehigh boots at a dollar store... i re-painted the make-up and fingernails... and the inside of the cape i just drew with pencilcrayons on canvas.

i'm sure all the "hed-heads" out there will appriciate this... i only wish i had made it before i went to the convention... i could have shown it to john cameron mitchell.

i'm a geek!  Cheesy

haha that is brilliant! im actually planning on doing a hedwig-themed project (painting the children of the sun, moon, and earth- then giving them to three close friends, a gay man, straight man, and lesbian woman.). this is great inspiration. thank you!
