I'm a new knitter (obviously.) To help me out in my self-teaching adventure, I bought an awesome knitting book. Sadly, it doesn't have much info on joining yarn.. just a little paragraph, and I'm not sure I'm understanding it right. Could anyone give me a simple explanation on how to do this?? Is it as complicated as I'm making it seem?

Thanks!!
