i just found this really cute pendant:

it says the pendant is enamel, i'm guessing it's a metal charm with enamel paint?  now here's what i'd like to know...
i don't want to copy the design of that necklace, but i'd like to know how to make metal charms like that.  my town is completely crappy - i've searched far and wide some type of jewellery course near where i live, but alas...there's nothing.  so what is the process of making these things? is there a book i can buy to get me started? does it involve sheet metal, or do you think she uses moulds? i'm a complete novice when it comes to jewellery-making, so sorry for all of the questions...but i can't find anything to help me out and i figured you were the girls to ask  Smiley

thanks a lot!

well, I saw something similar on Jewelry Making on the DIY network.  Its pretty complex for a beginner, I'm still a beginner with metals and I don't have the equipment to try it yet.  Here is a link to the tutorial.  http://www.diynetwork.com/diy/cr_jewelry/article/0,2025,DIY_13762_3555334,00.html  If that doesn't go straight to the episode, go to diynetwork.com, select the show jewelry making and then go to episode 409, project is called resin and silver pendants.  Hope this helps
