I posted in the doll making section but no help yet. Anyway, I have knitted a World of Warcraft doll and his hair needs to be styled like X-Men's Wolverine- swept up from the sides and flat on top. Can I use gel or hairspray on yarn or maybe a glue that dries clear? Would it be easier to use some furry fabric instead? I would appreciate any input!

Maybe starch it?
I've heard of using that on crochet doilies.

You can get fabric stiffener at the craft store. I used it to stiffen some knitted snowflakes for Christmas ornaments.

BTW, I so want to see your doll. Can you post a pic?
