Have you seen this thread? There's a really nice, clean black and white image that would be great for either an embroidered patch, or uploading for cross stitch to one of the pattern generators:

I hope this is the right place to post this...

Hi... This is such a fun community... I could spend the entire day just looking at all of the great projects you all post. I get so many ideas I don't know where to start!  Smiley

I am trying to get organized for my holiday crafting and want to stitch something for brother that has a Nintendo theme. I made him Sprite Stitch's "Mario Through the Ages" last Christmas and he absolutely loved it.

Since it was the first game he really fell in love with, I would like to find some sort of pattern for the original Super Mario Brothers for the NES. Does anyone know of a good one? He also likes the original Zelda games, too.

I can do cross-stitch, needlepoint and embroidery.

Thanks for any help you can offer!   Grin

Have you browsed around Sprite stitch?  http://www.spritestitch.com/
Try clicking on the Mario or Zelda tag, and you might find a great pattern!

Either that or you can always search for some screen shots of various Mario characters/scenes and convert them with one of those free online pattern creators so you can cross stitch it.
I've used this one before :  http://www.patternsforyou.com/en/pattern_maker.html
and had good luck with it.

This post talks a lot more about converting a sprite image to a cross stitch pattern, and might help you out if you decide to go this rout.  https://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=298149.0

Good luck- I love seeing stitched pieces from the old NES games!

Looking to de-stash cross stitch magazines, particularly Cross Stitch Gold or New Stitches?  Please drop me a line!  I'd love to swap or buy some missing from my library!

I live in a very large Asian Indian Population and i have alway been intrigued by their beautiful works. I am posting these even though they are traditional Henna designs called mehndi, that they use in India to decorate a brides hands for her wedding day.

These designs are hundreds of years old (so there is mostcertainly no copyright on them.  I thought that perhaps some of the simpler ones could be used for embroidery, Or even if it is to just spark an idea.

Use as you please as they are not my designs.

have fun!

There are those who say:this glass is half full. And then there are those who say this glass is half empty. The world belongs, however, to those who can look at the glass and say: What's up with this glass? Excuse me? This is my glass? I don't think so. My glass was full! And it was a big glass too!

Try googling "frog coloring page". That should yeild up some great stuff. Coloring pages are a lot of fun to use for embroidery. Hope that helps.

Howdy.  I'm love with these napkins and would love to find the patters so I can gift them away next year.  Any idea where to find either http://www.vermontcountrystore.com/browse/Home/For-The-Home/Kitchen/Accessories/Reindeer-Cocktail-Napkins/D/30100/P/1:100:1030:10350:101140/I/f11903?evar3=SEARCH or http://www.potterybarn.com/products/reindeer-table-linens/?
