I crocheted this hat out of boredom, from an UGLY sweater from the thrift store that I recycled.  Luckily the weather cooled off again after I made it, cuz it really keeps the head warm.

I'm going to be making another one like it for my grandma, she's really proud that I learned to crochet and knit.

P.S.  Please excuse the crazy eyes, lol.

What do you mean you recycled?  Did you cut up the sweater for the yarn?  Because that is an excellent idea... I never even thought about that!

Yeah, I got the idea from Neau Knits. She has a really good tutorial on it here.  Threre are lots of pictures, which can be irritating with dial-up, but it's really helpful.
