somewhere, a couple of years ago, I found these little finger thimbles made of silicone with a padded part for the pad of your finger...they were great for avoiding 'flame thrower' injuries when using the glue gun.

anyone seen these anywhere?  I can't find them now.

I know exactly what you're talking about- the ones I've seen were clear, with the little padded area having small bumps on it with the rest of the thimble being smooth.  I just searched all over JoAnn's and Hancock Fabric's sites (the only two stores near me that I frequent regularly), but couldn't find them there.  I know I've seen them, too, but can't remember where... wish I could be of more help!  I'll keep my eyes open and let you know if I come across them again!

Try Clothilde's or Nancy's Notions catalogs.  I think I've seen then for quilting (helping you grab the quilt for Free motion quilting)

I think they both have webpages, but I can't find either catalog in my pile, must have tossed the most recent when we moved.

I'll check nancy's notions, I already tried clotilde and every other catalog I could think of, but I had forgotten about nancy's notions.
