I knit this up tonight to give to a friend for her birthday tomorrow. I was really surprised that it came out so well! The scarf was knit with funky slub yarn that I bought at the 100 yen shop, and alternates between straight stockinette and dropped stitch sections. The flower is Lion Brand Fisherman's Wool that I had lying around. I think it has cyber-urban flava! Happy Birthday Jo!

Very cute.  I bought yarn similar to this and am making hand warmers...hopefully this weekend.  Will post pix when complete.

I did a scarf in this yarn too. Isn't so much fun to knit? And talk about instant gratification! I like the colors yours has. Very sky-like.

I love your scarf- and excuse my ignorance, but where are these "100 yen" stores located?

I believe the brand of yarn is Gosyo, which is suspect is produced just for the 100 yen shops. Here's their incredibly uninformative website:

hey, i have the exact same yarn but in pink and purple tones.
i found it a bit hard to knit with, especially when the yarn gets really thin. i tried to knit really tight there.
but i like what you did, just going wtih the flow....
maybe i'll get the rest of that giant ball out tonight....

great job deaddisco!!!
