Way cool craftalong-I love the way you all interpert an idea in so many different ways!!  Cant wait to join in now that I've finally cleaned my workspace from the Christmas frenzy.   This is something I have always wanted to do-think its a great way of keeping your creative juices flowing without a huge time commitment (I'm thinking of the year long altered book/painting project I finally finished for my best friend, it got kind of painfull towards the end!)

Happy Friday, everyone!  My ATC is actually stuck on a train ticket, which happened to be the right size (it's not a real ticket, I got it out of the machine when it was restarting and it has the whole alphabet on it a few times.  Honestly, they run ticket machines on Windows. WHY??).

The text which you probably can't read from my abysmal camera-work says:
"Zwei fremde Augen, ein kurzer Blick
die Braue, Pupillen, die Lider -
Was war das?  Vielleicht dein Lebensglueck
Vorbei, verweht, nie wieder"

Which is a line from a German poem called Augen in der Grossstadt which we studied with our scary German teacher earlier this year.  Roughly translated, it's:
"Two strange eyes, a quick glance,
the brows, the pupils, the lids -
What was that? Your happiness, perhaps...
gone, passed, no more. "

There's an entire translation here and the original German text here.

The card doesn't feel finished to me, I'd like to add maybe some more embellishments.  What do you all think?

I really like it!

But, if you really wanted to do something extra to it you could use one of those little punches, something really random - you know like when the conductor does the little clip thingy on the train. I can't think of a better way to explain that, sorry.

But I do like it as it is!

Because I am obsessed with famous quotes and in honor of February being Black History Month I put these two ATCs together...

YAY FRIDAY!!! ok  here are not only my ATC's for this week, but my first  ATC's EVER! yay ! ok on to the goodies:

this was my first: this it's called "take a chance" thus the BIG SHINY RED BUTTON!:

this one is called "chance of rain" thus 'take your umbrella':

this one is called "last chance":

this one is called "chance of a lifetime":

this one is called "chance in hell":

they're all watercolor / acrylic / ball point pen, if i had it to do all over again i would have used a felt tip pen, because the ball point pen turned funny colors under the flash of the camera.  over all i'm pretty happy with them though and i cant wait until the new theme comes out.  hope you like em! thanks for looking!
