Once again, I have to give credit to smoon26 for the brilliant tag idea. Smiley

Yup, it's just shrinky dinks!  You have to buy the shrinky dink for inkjet printers material.  I couldn't find the brand name stuff so I bought an off brand but it works just as well.  You use the stuff just like you would use normal paper: stick it in your inkjet printer and print away! I love it. All of my friends are mesmerized by the shrinky dink process.  Smiley I even have a guy friend who wants to have a shrinky dink night and make tags for his climbing equipment!

Thank you!
I have to try this plastic label thing! Sounds like fun too!  Grin

I have to say they are some of the best bags I've seen on this site so far.  Keep up the great work.

Your clutches are gorgeous!  I love your fabric!  Very well done!!

I can't beleive you used shrinky dinks for your tag, that is so cool.

The tags...
They're sewn on.
You print on the material (make sure it's the right size)...cut them out...punch a hole (using a standard sized hole punch) on either end...and pop them in the oven.  The package suggests using vellum both under and over the shrinky dink when you bake it.  This is what I found works for me:

Preheat oven to 325
Place 1-2 tags directly on a cookie sheet
Place a small peice of vellum on top
Bake for 2-3 minutes, keeping a very careful eye on them
Once they've shrunk and then flattened out again, take them out immediately
I use a small plastic spatula to take them off the pan and then quickly flatten them if necessary

Be careful or you will end up with a plastic covered cookie sheet.  Smiley By not using the vellum underneath, the baking time is significantly shorter so don't follow the package times...use your oven light to keep close watch on them.

Yup, that's it.  Smiley

As for measurements:
I think my original measurements were 10" by 12"...I'll have to measure the final bag...

I never thought about using shrinky dinks as labels it looks so professional! Can I just ask what vellum is?

Hrm. If it shrinks up, how big do you print your labels out to be on the shrinky dink sheet?
