I started mine around midnight cuz I couldn't sleep. I'm using a skein of Patons Classic Wool in a greenish color. I need to hunt for some fabric for the lining though.

you sure can & thanks for the free pattern. It was really fun to work with  Cheesy

The liner isn't vintage but it is vintage inspired- that's why I picked it !

Very pretty PikabooTique! I like the colors. Everyone's purse is so super cute. It's fun to see all of the different color combinations people have used. This thread inspired me to make one too. I finished it a few quite a few months ago but just now decided to post a pic here so everyone could see my purple version knitted with knitpicks shine sport (double stranded). There is a picture of the lining here (from my blog entry back in January.)

I made a giant one!  I love it. I have really no use for small purses.  I carry a lot, both inside and out, as you can see (three weeks to go!)

I followed the pattern, but used a super-bulky icky acrylic (really awful stuff I got dirt cheap that really would be a very poor choice to make into any kind of garment) and 8mm needles (for a tight guage and thus better support).  I also did more repeats of the lace for the body of the bag, and added some ribbing to the tops of the sides.  And, of course, the straps are different.  I made 2, and I crocheted them to make them just that much more sturdy and less stretchy.

I intend to line the bag... eventually... I haven't lost anything out of it yet, and it's pretty sturdy.  But a pen or something like that would fall out the holes.
