People are always hanging out in my dorm room, more often than not on the floor since seating is at a premium, so during Winter Break I thought it might be a good idea to use up some of the packing peanuts we have tons of to make beanbag chair-like pillows. This navy/white stripe fabric was just something I had lying around for forever, but the pillow itself turned out really comfortably.

Here it is in its natural habitat. There are other pillows that I need to make covers for (I'm a throw-pillow-aholic) and some other oddly shaped pillows that I made in the same way, but with fake fur I had.
(Excuse the horribly messy looking room, that dark red rug is a magnet for lint from my beige shag rug)
To spruce it up a little, I did a stencil of the little Morton salt girl (don't ask me why, it just seemed to fit) on another scrap of the same fabric and whipstitched it on. Everybody agrees that it's really cute and it spends a lot of time getting sat on.

So, it's comfortable then?

It's really comfortable, actually. It won't last forever, I imagine, as the peanuts do get gradually broken down, but it's good for now, and absolutely free.
