It's a bag... wait no... it's a hat!

Ahhhhhhh SO cool. I want to make one. Could you give some general guide lines to follow?

The bag-hat... it's so cute and funky and brilliant. And now I'm dying to try and make one for myself....

If anyone else is interested in making one I used the double knitting technique so that I was essentially knitting in a round on two needles but with a closed end.  Then I transfered every other stitch to alternating needles and bound off one side while I kept knitting on the other side and slowly decreasing to make the brim.  Well I thought I was making a flap for the bag, but it's a brim... if that makes any sense to anyone.

I've gotta say this.... there is something unbelievably sexy about a guy speaking like that.... Also, your bag/hat rocks

I've never met a guy that knits... (coming to think about it, not even a girl that knits, only old grandmas knitting here in Peru...!)..... so forgive me if I'm having a bit of a crush right now...

Can someone explain this to me? I mostly understand double knitting, but I don't get the part about transferring stitches.

Really cool hat, and congratulations - you may have cured me of my slight fear of men who knit! I don't know why but I found it strange (sexist, I know), but I admire your dedication to the craft! But you're clearly very accomplished at it, and I can't even understand your explanation of how you made it...I shall investigate this double knitting you speak of....

prffft. you could use it as a purse and say its a glasses case, for your GIANT GLASSES.

or, you could use it as a book warmer...

but it's cute as a hat.
