I made this using a tutorial for a circle skirt, but instead of cutting out a circle, I cut out a square. Actually, I cut out two squares and layered them on top of each other.

I made one for my sister too, but the chances of her letting me take her picture are about none.

wow i love how that turned out, it looks all store bought and stuff! i want one! ^_^

oh yes...how did you get the waist right? every time i try it always turns out way too big. >_<

Actually, the waist is big at the top. I just hid it in the back so no one could see. I'm so tricky... I used the tutorial here: https://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=12439.0 and just cut a square instead of a circle. I also hemmed the edges.
