hey all,
today my roommate and i went by one of my favorite yarn stores and saw the most sumptuous baby blanket ever, they had it knit up as a sample in Plymouth Heaven.

We'd like to make one for an expectant friend, but we are sick of the cotton candy colors.  Do babies hate color or something?  Why is it always pastel?
Anyway, I was wondering if anyone knows of any yarn similar to Plymouth Heaven (acrylic, buttery soft, washable, funny chennile-like weight and fuzz, super bulky) which comes in non-pastel shades?  any pointers much appreciated

I'm unsure if it will help since it's not chenille like...it's kinda boucle-ish I suppose..

I used it for a baby sweater which I did in grown up green and trimmed in brown. You can see it here:

thanks sassoet!
That yarn looks really nice, and your niece looks super cute in her sweater.  I have a hard time judging yarn from pictures but that looks pretty close to what I'm looking for.

Much thanks!

lion brand's baby soft comes in red, navy, and black as well as the cotton candy variety... but neutrals are pretty much non existant.   Sad
