I just noticed that "Artist & Craftsman Supply" opened a location right near me! It's on Comm Ave a couple of doors down from the Paradise Rock Club. Woo hoo! I hope they do well.

have you been yet?  I keep meaning to go, but West campus is such a trek (not really, but in the snow it's no fun)
Is it the same as the one in central sq?

Awesome! I do a lot of thrifting in Allston so it will be great to have a crafty resource without having to shlep downtown or to Cambridge.

I went in this afternoon, and was a little disapointed.
It's nowhere near is big is their Central Sq location. I suppose this one's intent is to serve the CFA students at BU, and thus mostly carry paint and canvas type supplies- "fine art" stuff as opposed to "crafty" stuff (in my opinion). 
But now I know...
