so i have this photography project coming up and i'd like to make a mannequin out of duct-tape since my local salvation army is M.I.A. with the mannequin supply and walmart is suprisingly very expensive since i'm just going to plaster the dummy with photos anyway.

the project is going to be a mannequin [just the torso of a female] attached to plywood. the plywood will have all the problems in the world coming out of it [ex: war, pollution, corporate, etc] and the torso will look like it's descending from the problems and complications into the heaven aka DIVINE.
the photographer i have to do the project on is Jan Phillips and she is very spiritual and into slothing off the bad and being one with yourself and finding the divine in all of us.

i've seen on most websites that show the DIY shirts and stuff that some people have made sewing mannequins out of duct tape and other various things.

is there a tutorial that i've missed or how would you go about making a mannequin of your own?

Have another drink and drive yourself home

and you can think of me when you forget your seatbelt
and again when your head goes through the windshield.

I had my boyfriend help me make a mannequin of my body. I wore an old tshirt and he wrapped me in loads and loads of duct tape. When we thought it was enough, we cut through the tape and the tshirt at the back, then stuck it together again and stuffed it with newspaper. It turned out pretty sturdy. It was really easy to do - the hard part is trying to keep still / breathe whilst being wrapped up.

I think it'd work well for your project Smiley

Let us know how it goes!
