also had to add my "good luck on the book!" comment...the hat is stunning and the photoshopping makes your pics so alluring! I have told you before you have my dream job...I am currently envious of your awesome job and knitting skills!

I would like to swap my knits (or amigurumi stuffies) for your handmade journal...pm me!

that's pretty much adorable.

a whole book one one skein wonders makes me squel with excitement

so I guess we're back to us, oh cameraman
swing the focus. In case I lost my train of
thought, where was it that we last left off?
let's pick up, pick up

I agree with all of you, the book is a great idea and it's being put together by Gwen Steege who does good work. There is one already out there with a one skein theme, Oddball Knitting but it's a little bit of a letdown. Myself and my co-workers at Webs sort of feel like we're cheating because we're all using Valley Yarns which happen to come packaged REALLY generously.

Pharasaila, the color is Bright Taupe and there are actually some really good new colors (periwinkle, wine, sage, lilac, pink and others) that aren't up on the website yet. They are in the catalog if anyone gets that.

Here is another picture with less color distortion. I encourage all of you to give it a go on your own, it's really simple to figure out...the urge to post a pattern is REALLY bad, but I'd ruin the book chances if I did.

We could learn a lot from crayons. Some are sharp, some are pretty and some are dull. Some have weird names, and all are different colors, but they all have to live in the same box

THAT'S IT! That's my hat! There's no way the book people will say no to that lovely piece, please, please tell us the name of the book when it's available. It's just beautiful... Grin

That's exactly what I thought! It is absolutely stunning!!! I actually held my breath when I saw that first picture. I love everything about it, just everything! Good luck with the pattern!

Gorgeous hat!  Everything I've seen of yours is awesome.  You do really great work and have a knack for doing a pattern that I might not think twice about.  The fiber, the colors, your choices are always right on.  Keep up the good work and keep on posting (you inspire me and many, I'm sure).
I, too, wish you the best with this pattern and can't wait to see it in a One Skein Project book!!!!!!  As hard as I try to be patient and knit larger projects, I need my instant gratification.
Thanks for showing!  I can't wait for the pattern.
