My former high school did this musical last year. My friend played the "modern major general" and knitted a hat for his teddy bear that matched one he was wearing. Funny how knitting just works it's way into Pirates....

btw, your flag looks AWESOME!

That's so fantastic!  If you can, you should post a picture of the flag "in action" during a performance.  Cheesy

I love it!

That could make me try intarsia, or whatever changing colors in the middle of a line is called... (Little help?)

When we were first married, we shared one cable box with the other folks in our building, and we all split the bill. We had a big jolly roger and we would fly it out the kitchen window and say, "Argggh, we be cable pirates!" to anyone who'd listen. Yeah, we were that cool Wink

Funny I was just thinking of pirates today because I borrowed a pattern book from my library a while ago with a pattern for a pirate sweater for a small boy (my stepson is 12 so too old unfortunately). This is brilliant I love it and the idea of knitting in a show. I'm in a band (backing singer). There's a comedy element to our performance and I'm thinking of producing a pair of knitting needles during quiet moments to blow that fake hard rock 'n' roll image . Good work

This is awesome!! Yes, please post the pattern.  I'd love to try to use this one to make a hat.

What a great job you did on that, and to turn it out so fast!

I really love it. Will the actor who is knitting on it actually be making "knitting motions"?

Arrrrr!
