I'm new to the area and the only craft shows I've seen were ones held at Christmas (Sugarplum, etc.) and I was wondering if anyone could point me to fairs or shows that take place during other times of the year.

Also, with the exception of national chains like JoAnn's and Michael's, the only craft stores I've been to around here are Tall Mouse and Scrapbook Oasis (in Irvine). I was wondering if anyone had any local shops to suggest. Thanks!

I'm up for personal swaps. PM me for availability and ideas!

I am not sure if you are into sewing or not, but the greatest fabric store ever is in Buena Park on the corner of Knott and Ball....its called M & L Fabrics....I almost always find something really cool in there!  Sorry, but I don't really know much about any craft shows in the area..

Check the surrounding city websites for a Community Calendar. I live in San Clemente and they have a craft fair every month downtown.

As for local crafty stores try using keyword "Craft" or whatever supplies you may be looking for at Superpages.com in the OC area. I have yet to visit any of the smaller craft stores, but do a lot of my shopping online or at Michaels.

I finally updated my profile info!

what part are you in? near Irvine? I'm more north, but I've found alot of great stores I never new were there by searching on http://maps.google.com like "craft near 92870" I even found a little store that has commercial grade iron-on transfers that was really close to me that I never even knew was there by searching google maps. In fact, it was practically right next to where my mother worked for over twenty years. The area's pretty big so even though I've lived here my whole life, I can always find new places with what I want. Try more specific words too, like fabric, yarn, or beads, depending on what crafts you like best.
